I cannot believe that we are 2 days out from Christmas already! I skipped last week’s “Best of….” post in light of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary.
Here is the last “Best of The Weekend” for 2012, things I just personally found to be awesome or inspirational in no particular order (although the last two are great ideas for AFTER Christmas).
If you are featured, or have been featured in the past, feel free to grab the button above or the button with code in the sidebar.
Now, I know that most of you might be finished with the shopping and the crafts! Here are some last minute ideas and some things just to put on your “mind calendars” for 2013! ”Best of The Weekend” will resume again on 1/7/13.
“Joy To The World” @ Raising Up Rubies
I just love this gal. Every single time I try to be “Grinchy” I just take a look at Jaime’s site… Her AMAZING craft space will also be in the February issue of BHG! Can’t wait to see that issue when it hits stands in January!
“Stockings On A Ladder” @ The Creek Line House
I miss having a fireplace, if only for having a mantel to decorate all year long! Courtenay has a beautiful little stocking hanging idea here that is perfect if you don’t have a fireplace (well, even if you do!! ).
Beautiful “Garden Friends” Tablescape @ Entertaining Women
The gifts may all be wrapped but a lot of us are still “futzing” with the table decorations. It’s hard not to be inspired by so many beautiful table scapes just like this one!
“Embellished Flatware Ornaments” @ My Salvaged Treasures
These are just beautiful – what a great idea! Definitely on my gift list for next year!! Thanks Betsy!

“Mini Cork Trees” @ Hubby Made Me
Anyone need that last minute gift to have on hand for a neighbor or friend who might stop by?? Stick one of these trees into the top of a bottle of wine or tie it on to the bag – SOOO cute and easy! Great idea, Britni!
“DIY Personalized Candle Holders” @ DIY Huntress
Here’s another SUPER simple last minute idea by Sam for an easy gift or for your tablescape.
“Christmas Wish List Ornaments” @ Clean & Scentsible
Love these so much! Jenn shared a cute idea (that I wish I had seen sooner!!) that would be great for teachers or to make with kids in the beginning of December!
Free Printable “Thank You” Notes For Kids @ The Happier Homemaker
Well I know THIS one makes me a “Happier Homemaker”! It’s so important to teach children to write “thank you” notes and sometimes that gets lost in all of the excitement of opening new presents. Thanks for the free printable, Melissa!!
“20 ReUses For Old Calendars” @ Too Much Time On My Hands
As 2012 comes to a close, I L-O-V-E these ideas about how to re-use old calendars! So fun, thanks Kim!
Thank you all for the continual inspiration! Again, “Best Of The Weekend” will resume on 1/7/13.
I hope you all have a VERY blessed Christmas filled with joy, love and special memories with your loved ones.
xoxo,
Claire
