#SuperHeroing with Big G Cereals & The Justice League

I’ve partnered with Big G Cereal for this sponsored post. All opinions, images (and secret super hero powers) are 100% my own.

I’ve actually mentioned this in a past post but when I was growing up, my best friend and I would pretend to be our favorite super heroes and, hands down, I would always choose to be Wonder Woman.  Did you ever watch the Super Friends?  I mean she pretty much rocked it with those awesome bullet stopping cuffs.

And, hello.  How about those kickin’ red boots??

Now that I’m a Mom, it’s fun to watch those old shows and to read the Justice League comic books with my boys and also to watch them pretend to be their favorite super heroes too.  My boys had quite a lot to say when I asked them what it means to be a super hero, actually, but to sum it up:

  • Super Heroes help other people.
  • Super Heroes fight evil and bad guys.
  • Super Heroes aren’t afraid of danger.
  • Super Heroes are cool.  :)

As parents, we always want to make sure our little “super heroes” are well fueled so they can “conquer the day” but we don’t only eat cereal for breakfast around here.  Cereal is also one of our favorite snacks all the time and the boys favorites are Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Honey Nut Cheerios, although they were pretty excited to try the Trix when it arrived.

Big G cereals and DC COMICS are teaming up to make your mornings (or anytime you eat cereal) more fun!  Through the end of April or while supplies last, specially marked boxes of General Mills Big G cereals will include four exclusive collectible in-box comic books featuring various Super Heroes from the iconic JUSTICE LEAGUE and there is also a bonus fifth issue available exclusively at Target.  All specially marked boxes also include wearable, cut-out Super Hero costume pieces.

Be sure to visit “Big G Cereal Heroes” to check out some of the awesome comic books and you can have a little fun #SuperHeroing with your little #CerealHeroes too!

Even though my daughter is a little too young to care about comics, she would get a KICK out of the cut out costume pieces! How FUN! (plus she loves honey nut cheerios)

Honey Nut Cheerios are a staple over here as well, Haley. We did have fun w/ the cut outs – the boys wore them out!

LOL Cassie and now you have me thinking about the fruit shape question! But as far as the other, no. Trix is NOT just for kids. Just ask my Hubs. 😉

Deanna I was surprised at how much fun they had with all of the different cut outs and the comics. They had a blast and it was a great time to be away from video games, etc. on a weekend and just “pretend” for a little while. :)

It is so funny how so many of these cereals bring back memories from childhood! I know they will for your little ones too! Thanks for the memories Claire!
