DIY Mod Podge Flower Frame | Kindle Fire Giveaway

Hi friends!  As you are reading this I am in the air or have already landed in beautiful Salt Lake City Utah for an awesome blog conference called Snap!  I am so excited to meet so many of my blogging friends and to see some familiar faces too.

I thought I would pull this little craft from the archives – I first shared this Mod Podge Flower Frame over at Fox Hollow Cottage last April.  I love easy and budget-friendly ideas and this one is a sweet DIY Mother’s Day gift idea too.

AND, since I clearly love giving things away lately, I have teamed up with 24 bloggers to give one lucky winner a Kindle Fire too so read on for more details!

For the frame, I started with a basic frame that I got at JoAnn and you could use any frame you already have, too.  I had some festive flower and circle cut-outs so I arranged them around the frame and used a little bit of glue just to tack them into place.

You can use whatever fun scrapbook paper {or old greeting cards!} you might have and cut out flowers or other shapes or even use a decorative punch if you have one.

Once I had all of the flowers arranged the way I wanted, I brushed a thin coat of Mod Podge over all of the flowers to seal them onto the frame.  I liked the natural wood but you could also paint your frame any color you like.

The mod podge only takes about 20 minutes to dry so I repeated that step giving the flowers three coats total.  Then I added a button embellishment on the top corner using hot glue.  See where the hot glue came through the button holes and dried?  Unplanned adorableness. :)

Easy and so sweet for Mother’s Day or for a teacher gift for the end of the school year and more.
