Here we are starting the month of May already and how was your April, my friends? Mine seems like a little bit of a blur, to be honest.
I knew from the start it was going to be a super busy month but, back in March, I told you all about the fun April Photo Diary Project that my pal Amy at Ms. Toody Goo Shoes & I had planned and here we are.
Here’s mine and we hope you will link up yours below as well. You have through May 9th to link up – we want everyone to have a chance to join us.
You will see that, due to my work and travel schedule, I missed some days and that’s ok. No worries!! Just link up and “Show Us Your April“!!
These gorgeous trees out back only flower once a year for about a week or so – what a great way to start April!
Today I was photographing this French Onion Soup recipe. It has been a favorite for me and my Husband for years and… cheese. Please, and thank you.
Littlest gets his chance at stardom. Well, ok maybe not but he DID get to participate in sing-a-long version of “Let It Go” from Disney’s “Frozen”. I’ve covered the faces of the other kids because I don’t know them OR their parents to ask permission but, um… the YouTube video has over 345K hits. 😉
Yes, he is quite dramatic and the comments about his enthusiasm on that YouTube thread are hilarious!
I woke up very happy to see our Hydrangeas started blooming, today. If everyone could start singing or humming the “Happy” song that would be fantastic because I couldn’t get it out of my head for about a week.
Having a little fun at the Science Center! You can step into this cylinder and experience hurricane force winds. Littlest thinks this is the greatest thing ever, probably because he IS our little walking “hurricane”. He is completely fearless.
On a location scout today for another video shoot and this little private beach looks like fun with beach chairs and private boats ready to go! Who’s with me?? Let’s go. I’ll bring the margaritas.
Whenever I can combine my crock pot and Mexican food I am a happy gal. Today I was photographing my Chilaquiles Mexican Slow Cooker Chicken Soup recipe. It’s so fun to photograph recipes and then eat them!
I whipped up a delicious Lemon Pistachio Ice Box Pie today so I was snapping pics, of course. There might have been some “taste testing” involved too…
Celebrating Middlest’s 10th birthday with a little one night getaway. He had a blast (and I think he went down the water slide more than 20 times…) and he also received a few presents from the grandparents as well. Yay – more Legos for me to step on.
From April 13 – 16th I was working on a video shoot. So, aside from posting more of the same pictures during those four days, this was pretty much my view with different backgrounds.
This is what happens when Daddy is in charge of bath time. Bubble overload. Step aside, Littlest. Mama needs her tub back.
Is this thing on?! More fun at the Science Center. “What we need…. is more
cow bell conch shell!”
The. Best. Shrimp & Grits. Ever. from Dixieland Diner which is one of our favorite local food trucks. Yes, excuse the iPhone pic but dinner tonight was fabulous.
Travel day – I’m headed off to Salt Lake City, UT for a conference.
Me in a blinged out rickshaw = fun. Even with very little sleep, apparently.
Sunset in Salt Lake City, Utah from my balcony (as captured by my iPhone). No mountains in FL and every time I fly through SLC to the West coast I am always in awe of the view.
It was 40* yesterday in SLC. I landed today and arrived home to 90* temps and also to the most beautiful sound ever. My boys in the pool having a blast. I might have gotten showered in wet hugs.
KITTY! Our cat Arwen (named after the character in Lord Of The Rings) is a rescue kitty. We’ve had her for about 13 years and she follows me around like a puppy – she’s my blogging buddy. She was VERY put out that I went out of town and thought I had abandoned her, even though the boys were all here. Yes, she’s a bit of a diva. That’s her angry face.
We finished off the month with easy, slow cooker BBQ Chicken Sliders which the boys gobbled down. A perfect ending as we “slide” into May.
I hope that you will share your April with us here. The linky is live through May 9th to give you time to get those posts together and Amy and I cannot WAIT to see your photo diaries!
