God Bless America, Land That I Love…
Bringing you all a few free 4th of July Hangtag Printables today and just realizing how perfect these are for Memorial Day too!
Can I just tell you all that, as much as I have flown here and there across this great country of ours – East coast to West and back again, I still feel like I have seen more in the UK and in Europe than I’ve seen in the in the USA.
I’ve seen the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Colosseum in Rome, and ridden in a gondola in Venice but I haven’t seen the Grand Canyon.
I’ve ridden a donkey up a mountain in Haiti and walked the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland (at least three times) and seen the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland but I’ve never been to Niagara Falls.
I’ve lived in Finland and swam with Dolphins in Bermuda and yet I’ve never been to Yosemite State Park.
I’ve lived in Madrid, Spain and played with stingrays in the Bahamas yet I’ve have never seen Mt. Rushmore.
I cannot wait to see all of these things! I’ve always said I will save the road trips and US “wanderings” for when we retire and we can’t really manage to fly so easily. I’m honestly not really a great “road trip” kind of gal. I like to fly and just get to where I am going.
Impatient much? Yes. Yes, I am.
I so greatly appreciate the opportunities I have had to travel in my life and I will tell you from experience that, at the end of the day, there is no place like home.
Are you a better “cutter outer” than me? Perfect. You’ll do fine with these.
We are so looking forward to a little 4th of July “Soirée” over here (and let’s keep it real – that means a cook out and / or shrimp boil with children running amuck).
I am so very grateful for that and thankful to live here.
Right here, where we can run around outside after dark with sparklers in hand and no curfews that our parents didn’t give us. Where we can pray. Where we can stretch our bare legs (and instagram our friends a picture of our toes). Where we can vote. Where we can wear silly hats. Where we can voice our opinions. Where we can shout out loud at the top of our lungs from the pool out back. Where we can be lifted up and encourage others too. Where we can lick the melted butter off of our pinky when it drips down off of the corn on the cob we are eating hot off the grill.
That’s right, that’s what I said. Don’t like corn?
Let. Freedom. Ring.
Hope you enjoy the free printables – download below if you’d like. The file is 8 x 10 so you can print it on regular sized paper. I actually sent the file to my local print shop and it was only $3 for 3 pages printed in color on card stock.
What freedom are you most thankful for?
