But then I thought, it’s best not to scare the stuffing out of her.
Better to take a more subtle approach, and just put some pumpkins on the table…and…some pumpkin-scented diffuser oil…
wait a minute…IN A MASON JAR!
Yup, that’s exactly how it came to me.
Or…maybe I was wandering around the craft store, saw diffuser oil, and thought, hey, that’s an idea.
In any event, it’s cute, isn’t it?
I bought a special insert for the mason jar lid to hold the diffuser reeds, and painted it black with acrylic paint.
I found this little chalkboard tag at Michael’s, and hung it around the mouth of the jar with some cord.
But then, I saw this itsy-bitsy wooden spider (from Michael’s) and I liked that, too. I painted it black, and attached it to the jar with a little ball of blue sticky tack. Double sided tape would work, too.
Which one do you like better?
I think I’m partial to the spider.
I’m all ready for my friend’s visit…
She’d be wise to check under the covers before she gets into bed (wink, wink!)
