Hi friends! Well I can pretty much tell you right now that December is going to be a busy time all month so I really hope to get back on a regular posting schedule by January!
In the meanwhile, I was looking at my menu for a holiday themed bridal shower I am helping to host this coming weekend and, based on the guest list, it became very clear that we needed to offer some dairy free options for some of those in attendance.
While I am personally not lactose intolerant, there are quite a few people that are so we wanted to be sure that we are offering some fabulous dessert options that everyone can enjoy.
This Dairy Free Almond Nog Smoothie is SO delicious and every single guest will love it.
Now I will admit that I was really at a loss about the whole “dairy free” dessert thing until I did a little research and there are simply loads of options and ideas out there.
For this recipe I used International Delight Silk Almond Nog, some soy based “ice cream” (dairy free frozen dessert), and I topped it with a little dairy free whipped topping that I made using coconut cream.
Holy cow, is it good!
If you have a gathering coming up for the holidays this is SUCH an easy recipe that everyone can enjoy! Make sure to visit www.silk.com/holidays for recipes, coupons, and more.
