Happy (almost) 2016!! I am sharing a post from a couple years ago with a brand new 2016 download. If you need to print some last minute printable New Years Cards for 2016 here is the updated version!
Here is the original post & tutorial with updated pics…
Ok, time to ‘fess up. Did you get Christmas cards mailed out this year? I, for one, did not. It just didn’t happen.
Oh the SHAME of it all. 😉
Actually, there are many years I end up sending out a family “year in review” letter instead so these 2016 Printable New Years Greeting Cards are perfect for that.
I can write a personal note or attach a family photo on the back or even insert a little printed “family newsletter”. Easy and MUCH more doable the week after Christmas for me!
These cute little cards are 5×7 and I have added a very slight border to make it easier to cut them out. I recommend printing on card stock, or at least some heavier paper, and then you can just buy a box of basic envelopes and you’re all set.
I added a little “bling” to mine – if you saw my Washi tape Christmas Cards or Champagne Cupcakes, you know I am all about adding a little sparkle! It’s not necessary, however, but if you want to, you can use glue to add some jewels or even sequins.
I tested these on both white and ivory card stock and I prefer the white but they both look nice. Now if you DO decide to jazz your cards up, I highly suggest writing any handwritten personal notes on the back prior to adding any bling. Just makes life a little easier. And I like easy. 🙂
Alternately, you can type out a little family update and print that out to paste onto the back of each card. You can download and print the card by clicking the image below. Just open and right click to save the image and you’re off!
Whatever your holiday and New Year’s plans may be, I hope you ALL have a wonderful and safe holiday and I can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for all of us!!
