You might already know that I love thrift store shopping, finding good deals and repurposing the things we already have.
And, since I also love budget crafts and DIY ideas, this may be one of my favorite projects EVER. I am in love with how these pieces turned out and I am pretty excited to share this super easy DIY Mercury Glass tutorial today over at my my friend Ruth’s site, Living Well, Spending Less. Ruth is truly a “money saving maven” and she is also one of my blogging heroes!
It really is so easy that even a cave man crafty Mom (or Dad) can do it.
Pop over and see how I did it HERE!

Wow, where did this month go already? Three days until Easter? This little “Easter Bunny” is wayyy behind. I managed to finally get my Spring mantel up (and I already want to change it up but that’s another story that my Husband can’t bear to hear right now). Have you all been Spring cleaning and decorating?
I really haven’t done as much as I would have liked so far but what’s the rush?? I’ll get it all up in time to take it down and bust out the Halloween decor. No problem. ;)
So I have this big wall in our family room that has been taunting me for the last 11 months since we moved in…. Especially since we threw a measly little wall hanging up the first week and then have done. Nothing. Else. [click to continue…]

But before we get into the project…first things first!!

There’s this spunky, crazy awesome gal I know named Jen Marrs and her BIRTHDAY is today (woohooo!) so I wanted to make her something extra special, just like her! Have you ever met anyone who is just so awesome-sauce, rockstar cool – someone that makes you laugh and you just want to be their best friend?? Me too and I married him.
But my fabulous {{BIRTHDAY GIRL}} Jen is truly just that as well. Just a few “faces of Jen”…. [click to continue…]

Welcome to Day #5 of our “Spring Fling” series!!

First, I am super excited to be headed to Dallas today for the “Blissdom” conference! I am Texas bound, y’all! I can’t wait to connect with some of my “Bloggy” friends again and to also finally meet some of my other favorite online friends in person for the first time. It is going to be a blast!
And it has already been a great week so far!! I teamed up with some AMAZING gals and they have been sharing some fun ideas for Spring and Easter all week.

Yesterday Cheryl shared her DIY Flower Topiary and now it’s my turn to wrap this party up with an easy and budget friendly Spring Wreath and some really cute Spring Votive Holders which are {kind of} a Pier One knock-off! [click to continue…]

Welcome to Day #4 of our “Spring Fling” Party!!

We are sharing some super fun ideas for Spring and Easter in this series and I am so happy you stopped by!
Continuing on with Day #4 is sweet Cheryl over at “That’s What Che Said“. I just love her blog name, too.

So get this. Cheryl is a retired Chemical Engineer and is now a stay at home Mom to two adorable boys. This intrigues me more than just a little bit because Math was my worst subject EVER so look at this gal go and be all smart AND creative! What?? If she didn’t live so far away I would get her to help with my three boys’ math homework. Cheryl’s fun blog is filled with awesome DIY projects and creative ideas and she {Che} makes me laugh every time I stop by!
Today, Cheryl is sharing this gorgeous DIY Flower Topiary! I love it!!

I hope you will also take a quick second to Pin or Tweet or FB and comment as well – you know we love to hear from you! {big smiles}
And don’t forget to stop back by tomorrow for the final day of our Spring Fling series – there might be a fabulous, budget Pier One knock-off involved {hint hint}. :)
