It’s really hard to believe that it’s already the last day of April. It seems like it was just Christmas. April has been a pretty busy month over here at the ALC Ranch. The Teenager started his first job and we also confirmed his college selection. We took a mini family vacation in lieu of a trip this Summer and Middlest turned nine (!!). I can’t believe it. He’s such a lovey, little cuddle bug. Of my three boys he’s my sensitive little man. It’s just funny how they are all wired so differently, isn’t it?
Recently in my blog wanderings I came across some busy Mom’s post and she mentioned changing diapers. I don’t even remember what the post was but I DO remember immediately thinking “Thank God I don’t have to deal with diapers any more!” I haven’t changed a diaper in about four years since Littlest is six.

I just got back from a whirlwind weekend trip to Dallas for the “Blissdom 2013″ conference. It was so wonderful to meet up with some fantastic gals and I will share more about that later this week!
However, last night in the closing session, the keynote speaker, Jon Acuff, said something that really resonated with me. Well, ok. He said a lot of things that were amazing but I haven’t stopped thinking about this one thing and I wanted to share it with you immediately so you have it for this week. So I changed my post schedule and here you go. This is important so lean in.

Welcome!! This is Part 2 in my Time Management Series called “Managing Our Time Better”. To catch up with Part 1 you can start HERE.
Time Management is such a challenge for so many of us, whether you are married or single. As a busy working Mom to three boys I certainly struggle with this too. It’s just hard to stay focused some days (and life throws us plenty of distractions!). In speaking with so many others that ARE very successful at effective time management, I found that the common factor in their success is to FIRST set annual goals (goals that are realistic!) for each year and then to SECOND make a weekly “to do” list to help achieve those goals. Hey y’all! I know it’s been a little quiet for a few days over here at ALC and I’ve missed you! For the past three days I was being blessed beyond measure at a Conference called BEECH Retreat. A conference that I wasn’t sure I really had time for, to be honest. I’m a busy Mom of three boys. I work full time. I have a blog. I just simply don’t have time for personal growth, ok?
